Emily has been a marine science educator and naturalist guide for over a decade in Texas, South Carolina, Catalina Island, Costa Rica and Baja. If you want the best off-shore experience in the Gulf of Mexico, this is your boat. The vessel will deliver you in style to a plethora of delicious fishes including Red Snapper, King Mackerel, Ling/Cobia, Grouper, Amber Jack, Dorado, Triple-tail, Tile-fish, Wahoo, and more! Comfortably fish 4 adults – max 8 guests.
Overnight deep water fishing for Tuna, Wahoo, and Grouper:
We would travel overnight, with the safety of 2 captains aboard. There are 3 bunks in the bow and an additional space for 2 after converting the galley table into a bed. By sunrise you will be fishing deep water for Grouper, Tile fish, and troll for Wahoo. By the early eve you will be out about 130 miles, fishing the platforms for black and yellow fin Tuna. We will head back overnight and be back at the yacht basin around mid-day.
We will have all of the tackle, bait, and ice with plenty of cold storage for the catch.
Pricing for this trip depends on the season and fuel prices. Please call or email us. We can create a menu for you and prepare all of your meals for an additional per person fee of $100 for modest meals, and we can adjust for finer tastes. We will have water, gatorades, and sodas. Sample menu ideas are:
Breakfast: Burritos or fruit, granola and yogurt
Lunch: Machaca burritos and ceviche or sandwiches with chips or salad
Dinner: Steaks and potatoes or crock pot creation
Of course, we can also serve up any fresh catch – tacos, ceviche, or grilled.
Just a reminder, it is customary to tip your crew should you feel they met or exceeded your expectations. You will have 3 crew members aboard, 1 deckhand and 2 captains.
We require a $1000 deposit with the remainder payable departure day, preferably by check with a CC authorization.
All you need to bring is your personal items. Don’t forget sunscreen, hat, protective clothing, camera or go-pro, a towel, and anything else you need to be comfortable. We do not provide alcoholic beverages, you can bring your own to be consumed responsibly.
We have power outlets to charge your devices while under way. We have warm fresh water available for rinsing off after fishing. We have a DVD player and TV, microwave, hot plate, crock pot and galley sink. If you are bringing you own food, don’t forget all serving plates and utensils, preferably disposable.
