My Boat

Options:
Private boat charters onboard my 20′ Boston Whaler or we can charter a larger vessel for up to 45 passengers, your options are endless. We will create an itinerary that is sure to satisfy each the curious minds in your group. Galveston Bay provides accessible up-close observations of marine mammals (bottlenose dolphins) and a highly diverse array of species of birds (neotropical cormorant, brown pelican, white egret, red/blue/night heron, roseate spoonbill and many more). Your group will enjoy an educational and informal ecotour where we will talk about the factors that contribute to the health of the environment, and some factors that threaten the delicate balance.

1 & 1/2 Hour Mini-Cruise
If you are trying to squeeze as many things possible into your visit, this trip is right for you! My boat holds 4 passengers comfortably. Depending on the weather, we will either head out towards the jetty or through the Galveston Channel in search of pretty vistas, bottle nose dolphins, birds and more. We can chat about the industry found in and around the channels connecting our ports to global supply chains. If you are considering a career in the maritime would, we can tour the Texas A&M campus and I can help connect you to a proper advisor.
3 Hour Marine Science Overview
We will deploy a plankton net to collect the tiny organisms that make up the base of our productive food web: zooplankton and phytoplankton. We will examine and observe samples with a magnifying scope; test saltwater for pH, salinity, and temperature; identify myriad migratory and resident populations of bird species; and most likely, we will see some bottlenose dolphins breaking the surface. We will chat about what each of these topics mean to our coastal inhabitants. Trips can be customized and can include light fishing too!

6 Hour Combo M.S.O. plus Fishing
Marine Science Overview (M.S.O.) plus light fishing. Up to 4 guests aboard this fun trip that hits all the targets of curious and sporty groups.

Offshore Snapper and Science
Join the crew (comprised of a professional and experienced licensed captain, sporty deckhand and your guide) to make the very most of the distance crossed to reach the rich and abundant offshore waters. We will take and record samples from several sites on our way offshore, taking time to talk about the factors that contribute to the health of these waters. When we get to the spot our Captain intends to fish, its game on as we try to land massive red snapper, cobia, Spanish mackerel and triple tail. Longer trips bring you to wahoo and grouper.
